Primarily I am a self taught multi-media artist. I have
taken drawing, painting and digital art classes at the
University of Colorado, Boulder and participated in various art
workshops such as photography, pottery
and oil painting in the Boulder/Denver area. In addition, I learned how
to cold connect silver and copper metals
to make jewlery at the Arvada Arts Center, Arvada Colorado.
I
enjoy painting acrylic abstracts on canvas, wood, and ceramic tile and
basically experimeting on just about any type of surface.
I have designed and created jewelry in silver and copper with or
without semi-precious gems. Other works include
photography, digital art, Ukrainian Egg Painting, drawing,
and designing and knitting sweaters.
I occasionally make it a point to go back to drawing with pencil, my
first art medium that I began doing at the age of fourteen.
My works in pencil include landscapes, people, cities, still life and
especially enjoy drawing animals.
I have been doing and showing art on and off for about forty years. My
work has been shown at the Boulder Public Library,
Denver University, various cafes in Denver, and the Community Library
in Erie.
I retired, but am still working part-time at the University of
Colorado, Boulder. I retired as an Art/Art History Advisor
and now do on call work for various departments on campus. My
positions are always changing.
For example, I will be working as a graduate advisor in Physics this
summer.
I look forward to making more art. I have not created any
sculptures
in bronze or marble and am looking forward to working in those mediums.
