Founding Member of A.C.E-Arts Coalition of Erie
Wendy, a left handed artist from New England has 2 children who are also artistic.
Her husband, Ron is a General Contractor. After college she moved to Boulder, then to Erie in 1999.
After graduating a 2yr. prep college in Massachusetts, she continued her education
in community recreation administration and facility management.
She had been west earlier to attend C.U. in 1982 and was a downhill slalom racer.
She worked as a Professional Ski Instructor & Children's Ski School Director for 10 years.
No stranger to Erie's history, she coordinated many Erie events. She served on the
Erie Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors as Chamber Secretary & Special Events Coordinator
& as Erie's Coal Creek Park Coordinator for the original Erie Town Fair.
She and her husband conducted the Annual Erie Fishing Derby & Erie's Annual Arbor Day.
She painted Erie storefront windows and won blue ribbons for Erie & Boulder County parade floats.
Awarded by the town for 5 years of event planning as volunteer Event & Recreation Coordinator
she conducted a grant funded summer recreation program before Erie had a budget or Recreation Department.
She wrote a continuation grant worth $62,000 for St.Vrain Valley School District at Erie Elementary
while partnering with Erie Police & the Town in a youth Crime Prevention Intervention-Y.C.P.I. program.
Wendy began doing commercial art after becoming partially disabled with a back injury & multiple complications.
Now she currently uses her art to design custom greeting cards on-line,
enjoys being at home with her teenage artist son, and caring for her new grandson.
Wendy leads a Christian Chronic Pain support group,
2 studies and a prayer team at Flatirons Community Church
