Artist Statement

All my life I have been interested in art, such as before school age
I made quilt blocks, crayons, and cut outs, then doll clothes having the best dressed dolls in the state.
I made my own designer clothes, I begin painting on fabric back in the 40's and 50's
then cake decorating, making my children's wedding cakes, slip covers and upholstery.
This was all without any school or formal education on these subjects.
Finally in the 70's I received a degree in Graphic Design, then while working with Seniors
at Brighton I found the classes on oil painting and have been hooked ever since.
Since that time I have entered shows winning ribbons, sold a few paintings,
and done some commission work.
I have had paintings hanging in the Erie Community Library,
the Erie Community Center, and the Old Town Coffee Shop.
